The Guttmacher Institute is pleased to announce the 2022 cycle of the Cory L. Richards Memorial Scholarship, which supports the development of future leaders dedicated to advancing public policy related to sexual and reproductive health and rights. The scholarship is a one-time award of $15,000 to subsidize study toward a master’s degree in public health or public policy at an accredited institution in the United States.
For the 2022–2023 academic year, Guttmacher will select up to two Cory Richards Scholars, for one award each, and will consider individuals enrolled in either part-time or full-time academic programs. In keeping with the Institute’s and Cory’s commitment to equalizing opportunity, priority will be given to students with demonstrated financial need.
The scholarship application portal is now open; applications are due on May 15, 2022.
The scholarship honors the legacy of Cory L. Richards, a member of the Guttmacher Institute staff for nearly four decades whose passion for mentorship and commitment to cultivating new leaders benefited countless individuals. The Institute thanks the many individuals, colleague organizations and foundations whose generosity made this scholarship possible.
