The Guttmacher Institute is pleased to announce the 2020 cycle of the Cory L. Richards Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship honors the legacy of Cory L. Richards, a member of the Guttmacher Institute staff for nearly four decades whose passion for mentorship and commitment to cultivating new leaders benefited countless individuals. The scholarship aims to nurture the development of future leaders by providing financial support to master’s degree students seeking to devote their careers to advancing public policy related to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
The 2020 Cory L. Richards Scholar will be awarded a one-time scholarship of $15,000 to support full-time study toward a master’s degree in public health or public policy at an accredited institution in the United States. In keeping with the Institute’s and Cory’s commitment to equalizing opportunity, priority will be given to students with a demonstrated financial need.
The application process for the award for the 2020–2021 academic year is now open; applications are due on April 6, 2020. Click here to begin the scholarship application.
The Institute thanks the many individuals, colleague organizations and foundations whose generosity made this scholarship possible.
