Monica Giuffrida (she/her) joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2023. Her research interests include adolescent health and development, reproductive decision-making, health literacy, and sexual and reproductive health service delivery in global humanitarian and development settings.
Prior to joining the Institute, Ms. Giuffrida worked on research; monitoring, evaluation, and learning; and program and data management initiatives on sexual and reproductive health and rights, including sexual and gender-based violence, with the Women’s Refugee Commission, UNICEF, Johns Hopkins University, and Columbia University’s Reproductive Health Access, Information and Services in Emergencies (RAISE) Initiative.
Ms. Giuffrida earned her MPH from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and her BA in French studies and medicine, health and society from Vanderbilt University.
