Lisa Blain joined the Guttmacher Institute in August 2020. As Director of Human Resources, Ms. Blain leads the organization’s comprehensive human resources strategy, including talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. She also drives the integration of diversity, equity and inclusion principles across all HR functions, including employee education and development, compensation and benefits, HR operations and technology, and employee relations.
Ms. Blain is dedicated to aligning the organization’s strategic priorities with the needs and well-being of its staff, which cultivates a supportive and collaborative workplace environment.
Ms. Blain has more than 20 years of experience in managing and directing human resources. She began her career at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she deepened her commitment to advancing social justice and reproductive health initiatives. Before joining Guttmacher, Ms. Blain served as Director of Personnel at the County of Morris in New Jersey and as Chief Human Resources Officer for Community Hope, a mental health organization.
In her free time, Ms. Blain enjoys movies, attending concerts and traveling with her family.
