Destiny (she/her/hers) is a respected executive leader and strategist, with over two decades of experience working at the intersection of policy advocacy, communications, coalition building and reproductive justice. At the forefront of some of the movement’s most important fights and iconic campaigns – from getting emergency contraception behind the counter to repealing Hyde – her career has focused on a relentless commitment to abortion access and building the political power of BIPOC communities. Over the course of her career, Destiny has served in leadership roles at All* Above All and the All* Above Action Fund, ConwayStrategic, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, ACCESS Reproductive Justice, Fenton Communications, and NARAL Pro-Choice NY.
For the last two years, Destiny served as a consultant and strategic advisor to the movement. Her consulting practice supported organizations and funders to gather with intention and to get the strategic guidance they need in these complex and uncertain times. She partnered with clients through design and facilitation of meetings large and small, discovery and analysis to address pressing problems or open up new possibilities, serving as interim leadership during moments of transition, and strategic counsel on emerging opportunities and challenges. Her clients included Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery, Collaborative for Gender and Reproductive Equity, Guttmacher Institute, Liberate Abortion, Nebraska Abortion Resources, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and SisterSong.
Destiny is a proud Mexican-American by way of Detroit. When she’s not fighting the good fight for reproductive justice, you can find her on the tennis court, on a hike, or in the middle of listening to a podcast.
