Clyde Schwab (he/him) joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2024 as a Senior Research Assistant. At Guttmacher, Mr. Schwab supports research related to abortion incidence, reproductive health care access and family planning. His interests include spatial analysis, social determinants of health, harm reduction, housing, and the intersection of policing and public health. Prior to joining Guttmacher, he worked as a Public Health Research Analyst at RTI International, where he researched measures of structural inequity, maternal health outcomes, substance use and community health interventions. Mr. Schwab received his bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Chicago, where his thesis examined gentrification and anti-displacement legislation in Berlin.
